Pearls. Pearls. Pearls. Inspiration is not in short supply in our studio. The studio has a glass wall out to the garden. These pearls begged to droop into a flower cluster and a reference to an image of Wisteria prevailed.

Influenced by 20th century sculptors Noguchi, Calder, and Brancusi who drew their inspiration from primitive ethnic form and crafts, Julie’s work in jewelry has similar roots. Her pieces are about possibilities for layering and stacking to create one-of-a-kind collages or small sculptures that uniquely juxtapose disparate elements with simple elegance.
